2024 College Football Bowl Season: Schedule, Odds & More

Bowl season has officially arrived, bringing with it a whirlwind of college football excitement. Thanks to the innovative 12-team College Football Playoff, this season is more significant than ever before. While the FBS will determine the national championship with a new tournament featuring first-round games on campus, the rest of bowl season will continue in the familiar style that college fans have come to love. Over 70 teams will be vying to end their 2024 on a high note, resulting in a constant stream of games kicking off each day.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TURNOVER:

In the Cricket Celebration Bowl, Jackson State (11-2) will face off against South Carolina State (9-2) on December 14 at noon ET on ABC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. This matchup is sure to be a thrilling encounter as both teams have had successful seasons.

The IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl on December 14 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama, will see South Alabama (6-6) take on Western Michigan (6-6). It's a great opportunity to honor veterans while enjoying some college football action.

DECEMBER 17 - 20 GAMES:

On December 17, No. 25 Memphis (10-2) will battle West Virginia (6-6) in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. This game promises to be a close contest between two talented teams.

The next day, on December 18, Western Kentucky (8-5) will face James Madison (8-4) in the Boca Raton Bowl at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Florida. Both teams have been performing well and will be looking to continue their winning streaks.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF FIRST ROUND:

On December 20, No. 7 Notre Dame (11-1) will meet No. 10 Indiana (11-1) in the College Football Playoff First Round at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana. This is a highly anticipated matchup between two undefeated teams.

Also on December 20, No. 6 Penn State (11-2) will take on No. 11 SMU (11-2) at noon ET on TNT/Max at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania. These two teams have been dominant this season and will be looking to advance in the playoffs.

DECEMBER 21 - 23 GAMES:

On December 21, No. 5 Texas (11-2) will face No. 12 Clemson (10-3) at 4 p.m. ET on TNT/Max at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. This game is expected to be a battle between two powerhouse programs.

That same day, No. 8 Ohio State (10-2) will take on No. 9 Tennessee (10-2) at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Both teams have been playing at a high level and will be looking to secure a playoff spot.

On December 23, Coastal Carolina (6-6) will face UTSA (6-6) in the Myrtle Beach Bowl at 11 a.m. ET at Brooks Stadium in Conway, South Carolina. This game will give these two teams a chance to end their seasons on a high note.

DECEMBER 23 - 28 GAMES:

On December 23, Northern Illinois (7-5) will take on Fresno State (6-6) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho. This bowl game is always a fan favorite and is sure to be a close contest.

On December 24, South Florida (6-6) will face San Jose State (7-5) in the Hawai’i Bowl at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN at Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex in Honolulu, Hawaii. It's a great way to end the year with some warm weather football.

DECEMBER 26 - 31 GAMES:

On December 26, Rutgers (7-5) will battle Kansas State (8-4) at 5:30 p.m. at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. This game will be a great test for both teams as they look to finish the season strong.

On December 26, Pittsburgh (7-5) will face Toledo (7-5) at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. These two teams have been playing well and will be looking to make a statement in this bowl game.

DECEMBER 27 - 31 GAMES:

On December 27, Navy (8-3) will take on Oklahoma (6-6) in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl at noon ET at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas. This bowl game honors our military and is always a memorable event.

That same day, Georgia Tech (7-5) will face Vanderbilt (6-6) in the Birmingham Bowl at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama. These two teams will be looking to end the season on a high note.

NEW YEAR'S EVE GAMES:

On December 30, No. 19 Missouri (9-3) will face Iowa (8-4) in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. This game is sure to be a great way to ring in the new year.

On December 31, No. 11 Alabama (9-3) will take on Michigan (7-5) in the ReliaQuest Bowl at noon ET on ESPN at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. These two teams have a lot of history and will be looking to make a statement in this bowl game.

NEW YEAR'S DAY GAMES:

On January 2, No. 14 Ole Miss (9-3) will face Duke (9-3) in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. This game is always a highlight of the bowl season and is sure to be a close contest.

On January 3, North Texas (6-6) will face Texas State (7-5) in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas, Texas. These two teams will be looking to give back to the first responders with their performances.
