2025-01-06

In preparation for the forthcoming baseball season, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are set to host two recruitment events this month. These sessions aim to fill numerous game day roles, ensuring a smooth operation at PNC Field when the home opener takes place on April 8. The events will provide an opportunity for attendees to apply and be interviewed on-site for various positions ranging from vendors to ushers, as well as catering and concessions staff.

Hiring Events Set to Boost Pre-Season Preparation

In the heart of winter, excitement is already building for the upcoming baseball season in northeastern Pennsylvania. The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders have announced plans to hold two hiring fairs at PNC Field, located in Moosic. The first event will take place on January 15 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, followed by a second session on January 18 from 10 AM to 1 PM. Both events will be held on the club level of the stadium.

The team's front office staff will conduct interviews for a wide array of game day positions. Applicants can expect to be considered for roles such as 50/50 raffle sellers, bat attendants, club level assistants, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), grounds crew members, parking attendants, press box personnel, ticket sales representatives, ushering staff, and video production assistants. Additionally, the RailRiders are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their Pinstripe Patrol, responsible for on-field promotions during games.

Beyond the RailRiders' own hiring needs, Legends, the company that manages catering, concessions, and merchandise at PNC Field, will also be present at both events. They are looking to recruit cashiers, concessions cooks, prep cooks, suite attendants, and retail associates to enhance the fan experience throughout the season.

This comprehensive recruitment drive underscores the team's commitment to delivering top-notch entertainment and service to fans. By assembling a dedicated and diverse workforce, the RailRiders aim to ensure that every game day is memorable for all visitors to PNC Field.

From a journalist's perspective, these hiring events highlight the behind-the-scenes effort that goes into making professional sports a success. It's a reminder that beyond the players on the field, countless individuals work tirelessly to create an enjoyable experience for fans. This initiative not only benefits the team but also provides valuable employment opportunities for local residents, contributing positively to the community.
