In an exciting start to their inaugural season, the Bowie State women’s club flag football team demonstrated remarkable performance at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up #1. The event took place over two days, March 5th and 6th, at Winston-Salem State University. The Bulldogs achieved a commendable record of two wins, one loss, and one tie in four competitive matches. This promising debut sets the stage for their upcoming challenges and highlights the potential of this new addition to the university's sports lineup.

The Bulldogs kicked off their first season with back-to-back victories. On the opening day, they secured a decisive win against Bluefield State University with a score of 12-6. The following match saw them narrowly triumph over Fayetteville State University in a thrilling encounter that ended 13-12. However, the momentum faced a setback on the second day when Claflin University emerged victorious with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs now look forward to CIAA Round-Up #2, which will be hosted by Virginia Union University in Richmond from March 28th to 29th. During this event, they will face Johnson C. Smith University and Winston-Salem State University on the first day, followed by a matchup against Virginia Union University on the second day.
