Parker had a remarkable 19-year major-league career. He hit an impressive.290 and amassed 339 home runs. He won two batting titles and was named the 1978 National League Most Valuable Player. His skills on the field earned him seven Major League Baseball All-Star game selections and three Gold Glove Awards in right field.During his time with the Reds from 1984 to 1987, he was a two-time all-star. His contributions to the team were significant, and he was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 2014.

The committee met at Major League Baseball's Winter Meetings in Dallas on Sunday to determine the hall of fame inductees for the Class of 2025.The ballot included Dick Allen, Ken Boyer, John Donaldson, Steve Garvey, Vic Harris, Tommy John, Parker, and Luis Tiant. Among them, Garvey, John, and Parker are still alive. Allen, who passed away in 2020, also made it to the hall of fame through this committee.

Hall of Fame Weekend 2025 will take place from July 25-28 in Cooperstown. The Class of 2025 will be inducted at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 27 at the Clark Sports Center.
