Elon University baseball and head coach Mike Kennedy have made a significant announcement regarding their upcoming 2025 season schedule. This schedule is set to be a grueling one, filled with challenging matchups and exciting opportunities. The Phoenix will be hosting some of the top teams in the region, including North Carolina, Wake Forest, and East Carolina, at Latham Park.

Early Season Challenges

The 2024 campaign kicks off with a road trip to take on what could potentially be the preseason number one team in the country, Texas A&M, during Valentine's Day weekend. This sets the tone for a challenging season right from the start. The Phoenix will then welcome Presbyterian for their home opener on February 18 and continue with their first home weekend series against Binghamton.In February, the Phoenix will also take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on the 25th at David F. Couch Ballpark in Winston-Salem and welcome Brown for a weekend series starting on the 28th. This early stretch of games will test the team's skills and prepare them for the upcoming challenges.

March in the Carolinas

March will be a busy month for the Phoenix as they spend the entire month in the Carolinas. Their CAA slate begins on March 21, and they will play six games against the Power Four conferences, with two of those games being held inside Latham Park. The Phoenix have won three straight games against top 10 opponents at Latham Park, and they will look to continue this winning streak.During this month, the Phoenix will also play against teams like Charleston Southern, UMass-Lowell, and Wofford, as they host a stretch of seven straight home games. This will give them a chance to showcase their skills in front of their home fans.

Mid-Season Road Trips

After a busy March, the Phoenix will travel to Spartanburg to take on the Terriers for a one-game road swing. They will then face High Point on March 18th and begin CAA play that weekend with a road trip to Patriot's Point to take on the College of Charleston Cougars from March 21-23.The Phoenix will return from the Low Country to take on Wake Forest at home for their final game of the home and home series with the Demon Deacons. Delaware will then travel to Latham Park for their final weekend series with the Phoenix as members of the CAA.

Late Season Action

Entering the final month of the regular season, the Phoenix will travel to Long Island to take on the Hofstra Pride beginning on May 2nd. They will welcome the Pirates of ECU for their final non-conference midweek game.Elon's final road CAA series will be against the Campbell Fighting Camels and their revamped roster starting on May 9th. Their final CAA series will feature reigning CAA Tournament champions UNCW.The 2024 CAA Championships will take place in Patriot's Point, S.C. from May 21-24, with NCAA Regionals beginning the following week. This gives the Phoenix a chance to compete at a higher level and showcase their skills on a national stage.
