Thrilling Season Awaits
Head Coach Elizabeth Anderson expressed her excitement, stating, "We are truly thrilled to kick off this spring 2025 season with an incredibly exciting and competitive schedule. Building on the strong momentum from our successful fall campaign, our team is focused and ready to take on the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead. Hosting several fantastic matches at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center is especially something we're looking forward to, and culminating in hosting the conference tournament in April will be a moment to remember."January Action
Action gets underway on January 17th and 18th as the Phoenix takes on Liberty and Longwood. This sets the stage for an intense start to the season. Then, on January 24th, Elon will host Bellarmine for their home opener, followed by a trip to face Wake Forest on January 26th.These early matches will help the team get into the groove and build their confidence as they prepare for the challenges ahead. The players will be eager to showcase their skills and make a mark right from the start.
February Home Stand
Elon then plays seven straight home matches beginning with a 'doubleheader' against Belmont Abbey on February 8th. This is a great opportunity for the team to perform in front of their home crowd and gain valuable experience.The following day, they host Charlotte, and on February 15th, it's Furman's turn. Then, on February 22nd, they face Shaw and Salem. These home matches will provide a great platform for the team to grow and improve.
March On the Road and Back
The Phoenix will be on the road to face Wofford on March 7th and Gardner-Webb on March 8th. These away games will test their mettle and help them prepare for the tougher matches ahead.After that, they return home to play Long Island on March 12th. This homecoming will be a welcome relief for the team, and they will be looking to continue their winning streak.
Final Stretch
Elon heads on the road for the final time to face Campbell on March 15th and Coastal Carolina on March 18th. These away games will be crucial in determining their final standing.Finally, they close out the season at home. On March 29th, they host East Carolina, followed by facing North Carolina A&T on April 2nd. Then, they host Charleston on April 5th and UNC Greensboro on April 9th. Before that, on April 13th, it's Senior Day as they play Norfolk State. This will be a special occasion for the senior players.
Elon closes the regular season by hosting William & Mary on April 19th before the CAA Tournament in Elon. The team will be looking to end the season on a high note and make a strong showing in the tournament.
