In a significant shift, Florida International University's (FIU) football team is gearing up for its 2025 spring training season under the guidance of the newly appointed head coach, Willie Simmons. The training sessions are set to kick off on March 4th and will be conducted every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, concluding with an eagerly anticipated spring game on April 5th. This period marks a pivotal phase as the team readies itself for the upcoming challenges under Simmons' direction.

Spring Training Schedule Unveiled for FIU Panthers

Amidst the vibrant energy of early spring, FIU’s football players are set to embark on their rigorous training regimen. The practice sessions will take place at the university's dedicated football fields, nestled beside the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. These sessions, however, will not be open to the general public. Only members of the Panther Club, a special fan community, will have the privilege of attending these practices upon prior arrangement.

The schedule includes morning practices starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with Saturdays seeing a slightly later start at 10 a.m. Media representatives will gain access during the final 30 minutes of each session, with interviews following shortly after. Parking arrangements have been made available in Lot 10, ensuring convenience for all attendees.

All plans remain flexible, subject to changes as necessary, ensuring the best possible preparation environment for the team.

From a journalist's perspective, this marks an exciting chapter for FIU football. The introduction of new leadership brings fresh strategies and renewed enthusiasm. Observing how Coach Simmons will shape the team over these critical spring practices promises to be both enlightening and inspiring for fans and media alike. It sets the stage for what could be a transformative year for the Panthers.
