Florida State football is witnessing a transformation under the leadership of Mike Norvell. He has been actively bringing in experienced coaches to enhance the team's performance. In this latest move, Tim Harris Jr. joins the coaching staff.This addition follows a challenging 2-10 season, and Harris Jr. is expected to bring his expertise to the wide receivers position. He has a rich coaching background, having served in various roles at different institutions.

Harris Jr.'s Coaching Journey

Tim Harris Jr. has an extensive coaching resume. He was Gus Malzahn's offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at UCF. During his time there, he also coached running backs and served as co-offensive coordinator from 2021 to 2022.Before his stint at UCF, Harris spent six seasons (2015-21) at Florida International University, where he was a running backs coach and offensive coordinator in his last year. His coaching career started at Booker T. Washington in Miami in 2009-13, where he held multiple coaching positions before becoming the head coach in 2014.As the head coach, Harris received significant recognition, including being a finalist for the 2014 U.S. Army All-American National Coach of the Year. He is also a four-time NCAA All-American on Miami's track and field team and a six-time Atlantic Coast Conference champion and a University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame member.
