In a significant addition to Nashville's vibrant entertainment scene, Goodnight Nashville, a new establishment created by local celebrity Jelly Roll in collaboration with Evening Entertainment Group, has officially opened its doors. Although the venue welcomed guests since January, the official grand opening celebration occurred on Thursday, February 20. This unique spot offers a blend of dining and nightlife experiences, setting itself apart as the first celebrity-owned restaurant from a Nashville native. Situated between Second and Third Avenue South, it occupies the former Trail West Boot Store building, boasting four floors of diverse attractions including a tattoo parlor, multiple stages for live performances, and themed areas dedicated to personal milestones.
Jelly Roll, born and raised in Nashville’s Antioch neighborhood, envisioned a place that would reflect his deep connection to the city. The ground floor of Goodnight Nashville provides an inviting atmosphere where patrons can enjoy meals and drinks while watching live bands perform from an elevated stage. Above this lively space, a wrap-around mezzanine offers an elevated view of the entire venue, enhancing the overall experience. Each floor carries special significance; the second level honors Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo, featuring plush seating and a DJ stage. The third floor, named Buddy’s after Jelly Roll’s late father, is reserved for private events and personal use by the singer. Lastly, the rooftop presents an indoor-outdoor area with panoramic views of Broadway, complemented by a bar and Jelly Roll’s signature rotating skull chandelier.
The culinary offerings at Goodnight Nashville are nothing short of impressive. Under the guidance of Executive Chef Patrick Murphy, the menu features an elevated take on American gastropub cuisine. Guests can indulge in sharable plates such as family recipe meatballs topped with marinara, basil ricotta, arugula, and lemon. For those seeking a more substantial meal, options include a Nashville Mac N’ Cheese with fried hot chicken and herbed bread crumbs, or a double wagyu smash patty cheeseburger aptly named the “Losers Burger.” Dessert enthusiasts will find delights like Dad’s Key Lime Pie and an Old-Fashioned Jelly Roll cake. The extensive bar menu caters to all preferences, offering specialty cocktails, beer, wine, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Les Corieri, co-owner of Evening Entertainment Group, expressed excitement about partnering with Jelly Roll, emphasizing that Goodnight Nashville represents more than just a drinking spot. It embodies an experience where music, culture, and hospitality converge, adding a fresh dimension to Nashville’s already dynamic landscape. With its multi-level layout and diverse entertainment options, Goodnight Nashville promises to be a standout destination for both locals and visitors alike, celebrating the spirit of creativity and energy that defines the city.
