In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, the Harvard Men’s Tennis team achieved an impressive 7-0 victory over San Diego State in their opening match of a three-game tour through Southern California. This latest win extends their winning streak to eight matches, enhancing their record to 12-3 while dropping the Aztecs' record to 6-8 for the season.

The Crimson players started strong by securing the doubles point with decisive victories at the second and third positions. Benjamin Privara and Melchior Delloye excelled against Liam Spiers and Paul Janson, claiming a 6-2 triumph. Masato Perera and Valdemar Pape also performed admirably, defeating Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice and Philipp Bosse with a score of 6-3. Meanwhile, the highly ranked pair of David Lins and Daniel Milavsky faced Alexander Mandma and Mathieu Josserand in a closely contested match that ended prematurely after the crucial doubles point was secured.

Transitioning into singles play, the momentum continued as Daniel Milavsky, ranked 27th in Division I, delivered a commanding performance at the top spot with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Philipp Bosse. The Harvard squad maintained its dominance as Mitchell Lee and Melchior Delloye followed suit with straight-set victories at the sixth and fifth positions respectively. Further down the lineup, Benjamin Privara showcased his prowess by overcoming Alexander Mandma in a tightly contested match, concluding with scores of 6-3, 6-4. Valdemar Pape added another feather to Harvard's cap with a 6-4, 6-4 win against Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice. To seal the day's success, Rohan Murali capped off the match with a decisive 6-1, 7-6(2) victory over Mathieu Josserand.

This clean sweep marked Harvard's third shutout of the season and their second consecutive 7-0 triumph, following their previous match against Quinnipiac on March 2. As they continue their Southern California journey, the Crimson will next face the seventh-ranked San Diego team on Friday at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
