A promising athlete from Alabama has made a significant decision regarding his future. Dadrien Waller, a standout wide receiver from Guntersville High School, announced on social media that he will be joining the Cincinnati football program. This choice comes after careful consideration of offers from several universities, including Troy, Tulane, Jacksonville State, UAB, Western Kentucky, Samford, and North Alabama.
Waller's impressive performance on the field has not gone unnoticed. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-5 and weighing 200 pounds, this young talent recorded an outstanding season with 34 receptions for 712 yards and six touchdowns. The Wildcats finished the year ranked sixth in Class 5A, despite a first-round playoff loss to Leeds, which eventually reached the semifinals.
Beyond football, Waller has also demonstrated his versatility as an athlete. He contributed significantly to Guntersville’s boys’ basketball team, leading them to the state semifinals in Class 5A in 2025. During this tournament run, he scored 10 points against Vigor.
