Ledell Eackles' basketball career at UNO was nothing short of remarkable. His dominance on the court was further recognized when he was named the Louisiana Newcomer and Player of the Year in 1987, followed by the American South Player of the Year award in 1988. Her remarkable career is further highlighted by her ranking as the second-highest in career kills (1,837) and fourth in career digs (1,327) in the program's history. Mike Bujol's contributions to UNO Athletics extend far beyond the playing field. In 2002, Bujol's dedication was recognized with a promotion to the position of Associate Director of Athletics. Following his retirement from UNO Athletics, Bujol continued to make an impact, becoming the Athletic Director of nearby Holy Cross High School in 2009. His unwavering commitment to the Privateers' success and his tireless efforts to support student-athletes have left an indelible mark on the university's athletic program.
