This week, the USA TODAY Network Indiana high school boys basketball poll has seen significant changes. Two new teams have claimed the top spot in their respective classes, while others have made notable jumps in the rankings. The updated standings reflect intense competition and shifting dynamics across different class divisions.

New Leaders Emerge in Class 3A and Class A

The most striking change is the emergence of new leaders in Class 3A and Class A. Cathedral has ascended to the top position in Class 3A, edging out South Bend St. Joseph. Meanwhile, Clay City has taken the lead in Class A, surpassing Orleans. These shifts highlight the fierce competition within these classes.

In Class 3A, Cathedral's rise to the top with a record of 7-2 underscores its strong performance this season. Despite having more losses than South Bend St. Joseph, which boasts a 9-1 record, Cathedral's strategic play and resilience have earned it the top spot. In Class A, Clay City's ascent from third place to first, with a record of 7-1, demonstrates its consistent improvement and adaptability on the court. Orleans, now second with a 5-2 record, remains a formidable opponent but has been overtaken by Clay City's recent surge in form.

Steady Performances in Class 4A and Class 2A

In other classes, stability prevails as Fishers retains its top position in Class 4A and Wapahani stays at the helm in Class 2A. Both teams have maintained unbeaten records, showcasing their dominance and consistency throughout the season.

In Class 4A, Fishers continues to dominate with a perfect 9-0 record. Teams like Lawrence North (6-1) and Crown Point (6-0) follow closely behind, indicating a highly competitive environment. The presence of several undefeated teams such as Northridge (10-0) and Evansville Reitz (7-0) adds to the intensity of this division. In Class 2A, Wapahani's unblemished 9-0 record solidifies its leadership. Other contenders like Fort Wayne Luers (4-0) and Parke Heritage (9-1) are also making waves, contributing to a tightly contested league where every game matters.
