This significant gathering will take place on Friday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 p.m. at Burge Union.An Evening of Connection and Entertainment
The First Pitch Banquet offers a unique opportunity to connect with the team and coaching staff. It's a time to come together and share the excitement of baseball. Alongside this, attendees can participate in a silent and live auction, adding an element of thrill and competition. Additionally, there will be a chance to hear from the current President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Bob Kendrick, providing valuable insights and stories.

At 5:30 p.m., the doors open for a private VIP Table Cocktail Reception, setting the tone for an evening of exclusivity. At 6:30 p.m., the doors open for all other attendees, allowing everyone to join in the festivities. Dinner service begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by the program starting at 7:30 p.m. The silent auction concludes at 8:00 p.m., and the live auction begins at 8:15 p.m. Estimated end time is 8:30 p.m., ensuring a well-paced and enjoyable event.
Ticket Information and Options
Individual adult tickets are available for $100, providing access to all the activities and entertainment. Youth tickets (under 10 years old) are on sale for $50, making it a great opportunity for families to enjoy the evening together. Fans also have the option to sponsor a player's meal for $50, although a sponsorship does not include a ticket to the event. Looking Back at Last Season's Success
Last season was a remarkable one for the Kansas baseball team. They finished with an overall record of 31-23 and a 15-15 record in conference play. The 31 wins were the most for Kansas since 2019, demonstrating the team's growth and potential. The 15 victories in conference games were tied for the most in program history, highlighting their competitiveness on the field. This success serves as a foundation for the team as they look to build on it in the upcoming season.
