Kentucky women's tennis is all set to embark on an exciting 2025 spring season. With a diverse lineup of players and a challenging schedule, the team is ready to make their mark on the court. The Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center will be the home ground for 13 matches, while 10 matches will take place on the road. Let's take a closer look at the season ahead.

Kentucky Women's Tennis - A Spring of Excitement and Competition

January: Kicking Off the Season

The 2025 spring season begins with a doubleheader on Jan. 18. Kentucky will face Eastern Kentucky at 10 a.m. EST and Murray State at 3 p.m. at The Boone. This sets the tone for a busy month ahead as the team prepares to take on tougher opponents. It's a great opportunity for the newcomers and returners to showcase their skills and build chemistry as a team.After the doubleheader, the Cats will travel to Iowa City, Iowa for a contest against Iowa on Jan. 24. This will be their first road trip of the season and a chance to test their mettle against a different opponent.

February: SEC Play Begins

Kentucky returns home to Lexington to host Purdue on Jan. 26 and a doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 1. These home matches will give the fans a chance to see the team in action and support them.Back on the road, the Cats will head to Kansas where they will take on Wichita State on Feb. 7 and Kansas State on Feb. 9. It's a challenging stretch of road games that will test the team's resilience and determination.Kentucky will then return to The Boone to begin Southeastern Conference play against Tennessee for a 1 p.m. afternoon contest on Feb. 22. This is a crucial match as they start their SEC campaign and will be looking to make a strong start.Closing out the month of February, the Cats will travel to Baton Rouge, La. to take on LSU on Feb. 28 followed by a road trip to Ole Miss on March 2. These away games will be tough but the team is ready to give their best.

March: Road Trips and Home Stands

After playing Georgia at home on March 7, UK will embark on a three-match road trip to South Carolina on March 8, Oklahoma on March 14 and Arkansas on March 16. These road trips will be a test of the team's travel and playing abilities.Following the three away contests, Kentucky will return to The Boone for six matches to close the 2025 homestand. Beginning with Mississippi State on March 21, the Cats will then host Alabama on March 23, Texas A&M on March 28, Texas on March 30, Auburn on April 4 and Florida on April 6. These home matches will be a great opportunity for the team to finish the season on a high note.

Regular Season Finale and SEC Championship

The Wildcats will wrap up the regular season schedule at Vanderbilt on April 11 and Missouri on April 13. These final matches will determine their standing in the regular season.After the regular season, the team will set their sights on the SEC Championship hosted in Auburn, Ala. from April 16-20.
