It was during this period that she met Noel Shields, a professional tennis player from Belfast, Ireland. Their chance encounter blossomed into a deep and lasting romance, leading to their marriage in 1969.The couple's lives intertwined beautifully as they embarked on a new chapter together. Summers in Westhampton Beach and winters in Vero Beach, Florida, provided the perfect backdrop for raising their family. Traveling within the tennis circuit allowed them to experience diverse cultures and build a rich tapestry of memories. Pam's involvement in the tennis community extended beyond personal interests; it became a cornerstone of her social life and professional endeavors.

In 1979, the Westhampton Tennis and Sport Club opened its doors, and Pam joined the office team alongside her husband. Her presence brought warmth and charm to the club, creating an atmosphere of hospitality and camaraderie. Over four decades, Pam welcomed countless members who eventually became cherished friends. Her British accent and radiant smile left an unforgettable impression on everyone she encountered.Managing the club operations required meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Noel Shields, but her legacy continues through her loving daughters Michelle Civiletti (Philip) and Colleen Downs (Richard), as well as her devoted brother Lt. Col. Anthony Pratt. Her grandchildren Nolan Civiletti, Connor Downs, and Evan Downs were the lights of her life, bringing immense joy and happiness.Family gatherings were occasions filled with laughter, shared stories, and heartfelt moments. Honoring a Remarkable Life

A memorial visitation was held on Friday, January 10, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. Friends and family gathered to pay their respects and celebrate Pam's life. A funeral mass followed on Saturday, January 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Church, with interment at St. Mark's Columbarium.In lieu of flowers, donations were encouraged to East End Hospice, an organization that provided invaluable support during challenging times. The gratitude expressed towards hospice staff highlighted the compassionate care they offered, underscoring the importance of such services in helping families navigate difficult journeys.
