Louisville women's basketball is all set to capture the national spotlight this afternoon as they take on No. 20 N.C. State on ABC. The Wolfpack has been on a winning streak against U of L, while the Cardinals had a winning streak against N.C. State before that, resulting in an 8-8 series tie. Despite it being the first ACC game of the season, it holds significant implications for the end of the season. Louisville and N.C. State were projected to finish fourth and second respectively in the ACC during the preseason. The ACC is as competitive as ever, with Notre Dame aiming to defend its ACC Tournament title and Virginia Tech losing its head coach Kenny Brooks to Kentucky and key players Liz Kitley and Georgia Amoore.
