Before transferring, he showcased his skills in seven games at North Greenville last season, recording 29 tackles and breaking up six passes. Despite being overlooked by major recruiting services, Edwards quickly made an impact on the field. After redshirting during his initial year at North Greenville, he emerged as a key player in the secondary during the following season.
