Later that afternoon, the Tigers faced Northern Illinois. They once again secured the doubles point, this time through victories on courts one and two. Artimedi and senior Mary Brumfield battled back from a deficit to secure the doubles point with a 7-6 (7-4) win. In singles play, Canete continued her stellar performance with a 6-4, 6-0 win on court one. Artimedi and Roso also secured straight-set victories, while Octa narrowly lost a three-set match. Despite this, the Tigers managed to clinch the overall victory with a final score of 4-3.
