Baris is now the first NCAA National Runner-Up in MSU men's tennis program history. His performance this fall season, with a 13-4 record and currently ranked No. 1 in the ITA Individual Rankings, has been nothing short of exceptional.He will now head home and prepare with the team for the Spartans' upcoming 2025 spring season. With his eyes set on winning a Big Ten Championship and making a deep run in the NCAA Championships next year, Baris is ready to take on the challenge.
The Spartan junior made his third NCAA Championships appearance and reached the national semifinals last spring. His journey has been filled with ups and downs, but his determination and love for the sport have never wavered.On January 17, the Spartans will open their spring season at the MSU Tennis Center against Kentucky. Baris will be leading the charge, looking to make his mark and bring glory to Michigan State.
