Dom Mirocke Named Head Coach of Northside High School Football Team

In the heart of Arkansas, the Fort Smith Public Schools district has made a significant announcement regarding the leadership of its Northside High School football program. The newly appointed head coach, Dom Mirocke, brings with him a wealth of experience from both Division I and II collegiate levels. Since 2023, Mirocke has been serving as the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and wide receivers coach at Arkansas Tech University. Prior to this role, he spent six years at Henderson State University, where he was instrumental in developing a formidable passing game that consistently ranked among the top three in the Great American Conference (GAC).

Mirocke's coaching achievements include mentoring 11 All-Conference wide receivers and two All-Americans. His ability to cultivate talent and foster success on the field is evident from his track record. During his tenure at Arkansas Tech, Mirocke helped engineer an offense that averaged nearly 300 yards per game, with over 200 yards coming through the air. His strategic vision and dedication have prepared him well for the challenges ahead at Northside High School.

FSPS Director of Athletics & Activities Michael Beaumont expressed confidence in Mirocke’s capabilities, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Coach Mirocke to our team. His extensive experience and proven track record will undoubtedly benefit our students and the community.” Mirocke himself is equally enthusiastic about this new chapter, emphasizing his commitment to rebuilding the program into a premier winner both on and off the field.

With a strong educational background, including a Master of Science in Sports Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University and a Bachelor of Integrated Studies from Emporia State University, Mirocke is not only a skilled coach but also a dedicated educator. He looks forward to integrating these qualities into his new role and contributing to the rich tradition of Northside High School football.

Former coach Felix Curry has been reassigned within the district, paving the way for Mirocke’s arrival. The transition marks a new era for the Northside High School football program, filled with promise and potential.

The appointment of Dom Mirocke as the new head football coach at Northside High School signifies a fresh start for the team. As the community eagerly anticipates the impact of his leadership, there is a renewed sense of optimism. Mirocke’s expertise and passion are expected to inspire the players and strengthen the program, setting a high standard for future success. This move reflects FSPS’s commitment to providing exceptional athletic opportunities for its students, ensuring they thrive in all aspects of their development.
