The North Alabama Conference's New Chief Financial Officer

In July of this year, as the newly appointed President of the Council on Finance and Administration within the North Alabama Conference, I was entrusted with the challenging duty of initiating a search for the conference's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), along with other key positions such as the Treasurer, Benefits Officer, and Director of Administrative Services, following Scott Selman's retirement. Zac Riddle, a former member of the General Council on Finance and Administration and a lay member of our conference, was asked to lead this search along with a small group of conference leaders.

Introducing Neil Campbell

We are delighted to announce the arrival of Neil Campbell to the North Alabama Conference staff. Neil comes with an extensive background in financial strategy, accounting, payroll administration, and the implementation of internal controls. His extensive experience will play a crucial role in guiding our financial initiatives.With more than 17 years in the finance sector, Neil has held significant positions in various organizations. During his tenure, he has showcased exceptional skills in financial planning, budgeting, and business operations. His strategic insights and leadership approach will be of great value as we move forward together in this new era of ministry.Neil is a dedicated United Methodist who feels called to serve the North Alabama Conference. He is married to Kelly Campbell, and they have three children: Maeve (7), Maury (4), and McNeil (2).Neil expressed his enthusiasm upon joining the team, stating, "It is a great honor and privilege to be part of this organization and serve as the next CFO. The Conference and the denomination are at a crucial stage of change, and these changes present us with unique opportunities. I am excited to contribute to leading the Conference into the next phase of ministry and making the most of these new opportunities."
