Organized by the National Consumer League and locally supported by the DCCA's Business Registration Division and Insurance Division, in collaboration with the Hawaii Credit Union League, it aims to equip students with practical knowledge they will need as they transition into adulthood. Deputy Director Dean Hazama emphasized that the program's objective is to empower students with the skills necessary to navigate financial matters, understand economic dynamics, and recognize the role of businesses in society.

The winning team from this year’s state-level competition will have the honor of representing Hawaii at the national championship in Chicago, set to take place in April. Notably, Hawaii’s Maryknoll School claimed victory at the national level in 2023, setting a high standard for this year's participants.
