As the founding chair of the USTA National Sport Science Committee from 1988 to 2003, he collaborated with elite athletes across various disciplines. Furthermore, his research and advocacy efforts have led to significant policy changes, including Congressional briefings on workplace wellness and a United Nations event addressing noncommunicable diseases through physical activity promotion.
