The Redbirds' doubles teams were unstoppable on the opening day of the Redbird Duals. The No. 1 pair of Lana Caculovic and Silvia Pomarolli prevailed over Aleyla Wooten and Luisa Renovales of Eastern Illinois, securing a 6-4 victory. Freshman Emma Lindh and graduate student Elena Jankulovska showcased their prowess, winning decisively against EIU's Ornella Lomenzo and Charleigh Fay. Rounding out the doubles field, the duo of Nicole Iosio and Zoe Limparis bested Nina Moravel and Ainsley Heidbreder of Washington University in St. Louis by a 6-2 margin.

The Redbirds' singles players also shone brightly on the opening day. Junior Lana Caculovic defeated Zoe Adkins of the University of Omaha in a hard-fought three-set match, with scores of 1-6, 6-1, 10-5. At the No. 2 position, junior Silvia Pomarolli swept Khayli Buckels of Omaha with a dominant 6-0, 6-3 performance. Graduate student Elena Jankulovska added to the Redbirds' success, securing a 6-1, 6-3 victory against UNO's Nina Weise. Rounding out the singles competition, freshman Nicole Iosio emerged victorious in a tiebreaker over the Mavericks' Katelynn Kock, with a final score of 6-7 (3), 6-4, 1-6.
