The UNCW Seahawks tennis team showcased their prowess in doubles play, posting a perfect 6-0 record on Friday at the Coastal Carolina Fall Invitational. However, the team faced a tougher challenge in singles competition, recording a 2-6 mark against the host Chanticleers.

The UNCW Seahawks tennis team demonstrated their exceptional doubles skills, sweeping all six matches against their opponents. The dynamic duo of Stela Joksimovic and Alicia Eberwein led the charge, securing two impressive victories. They first defeated the UNCG pair of Olivia Gallagher and Alexandra Dodashev, 6-4, and then followed up with a dominant 6-0 win over the Queens/UNCG duo of Audrey Serb and Luna Urso.The tandem of Eda Arli and Elif Albayrak also shone brightly, securing two wins of their own. They first defeated the UNCG pair of Sydney Bly and Raegan Mitchell, 6-4, and then followed up with a 6-1 victory over the Queens duo of Lucy Hogan and Andreea Onitoiu.Rounding out the Seahawks' doubles dominance, the team of Katelyn Hubbard and Ananyaa Bhargava defeated the UNCG pair of Ella Olexa and Elisabeth Birkevold, 6-1. The duo of AP Shumate and Lucia Gomez also contributed to the team's success, defeating the Queens pair of Zoe Cvitanovic and Marika Mueller, 6-3.Singles Struggles: UNCW Faces Tough Competition
