2025-04-29

A vibrant celebration of music, culture, and community is set to take place in South Bend this coming Saturday, May 3, from 1 to 8 p.m. The event, hosted by The Music Village at Howard Park, promises a day filled with entertainment, food, and activities for all ages. Featuring live performances, interactive drumming, local cuisine, children's activities, and more, this family-friendly gathering aims to foster connections and support the city's artistic initiatives.

This year’s festivities will showcase an impressive lineup of talented musicians, including The Music Village Jammers and several instructors alongside their students. Other notable acts such as Heyzeus & Reminisce.X, Kennedy’s Kitchen, Lalo Cura, and Micki Miller are also scheduled to perform. Each act brings its unique flair, ensuring a diverse and engaging auditory experience throughout the day.

Beyond the musical performances, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities tailored for different interests. Children will delight in creative pursuits like arts and crafts, face painting, and interactive sessions provided by Unity Gardens’ Edgy Veggie activity truck. Meanwhile, adults can unwind with offerings from South Bend Brew Werks, adding a refreshing touch to the lively atmosphere.

All proceeds from the raffle held during the event will go towards supporting TMV’s Music For All tuition assistance program, which strives to make quality music education accessible to everyone. This initiative reflects The Music Village's commitment to nurturing talent across the community.

The festival offers something for everyone, whether it be savoring delicious meals from local food trucks or enjoying the rhythm of live performances. With free admission, it presents an excellent opportunity for families and friends to come together and celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of South Bend. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and immerse themselves in what promises to be a memorable day of joy and harmony.
