Unveiling the 2025 Texas Baseball Schedule - A Season of Promise
February: Pre-Season Action
On February 14, Texas will face off against Louisville in Arlington. This is the start of a busy pre-season schedule that continues with games against Ole Miss and Oklahoma State on the 15th and 16th respectively. The Longhorns will then host Houston on the 18th, setting the stage for some intense competition.
From February 21 to 23, Texas will take on Dartmouth, adding another challenge to their pre-season lineup. The following day, they will face UIW on February 25. And on February 28, they travel to Las Vegas to take on Washington. This will be a crucial period for the team as they prepare for the upcoming games.
March: Road Trips and SEC Debut
In March, Texas will make their way to Las Vegas for a series of games against Texas Tech on the 1st and Illinois on the 2nd. They will then face TAMU-CC on the 4th. The Longhorns will play in both the Shriners Children’s College Showdown in Arlington and the Las Vegas Classic before making their SEC debut in March.
From March 7 to 9, Texas will host Santa Clara, showcasing their home-field advantage. They will then face UT-Arlington on March 11. After that, they will travel to Mississippi State from March 14 to 16, facing another tough opponent. This month will be a test for the team as they navigate through different venues and opponents.
April: Confronting Tough Rivals
In April, Texas will face off against Texas State on the 1st and Georgia from April 4 to 6. They will then take on Houston Christian on the 8th. The Longhorns will travel to Kentucky from April 11 to 13, facing a strong SEC opponent. After that, they will host UTRGV on April 15 and face Auburn from April 17 to 19.
On April 22, Texas will travel back to Texas State, continuing their rivalry. This month will be a challenging one for the team as they face some of their toughest rivals in the SEC and beyond.
May: Final Stretch and Big Games
In May, Texas will host Lamar on the 6th and face Florida from May 9 to 11. They will then make their way to Oklahoma from May 15 to 17 for a crucial series. This final stretch of the season will determine the team's fate and their place in the rankings.
The 53-game schedule features 26 games against teams that reached the NCAA tournament in 2024.
