Following their dramatic buzzer-beating win over Mason County Central on Wednesday night, the Warriors faced another intense challenge against Fruitport on Thursday. Both teams fought fiercely for four quarters, with neither side managing to pull ahead significantly. However, it was in the overtime period where the Warriors shone, outscoring the Trojans 10-8 to clinch their second consecutive victory by a final score of 62-60.The key players for Western Michigan Christian included Derrick Ashley, who led the charge with 15 points, Tyson Annema adding 14 points, Levi Postema contributing 11 points, and Gabe Van Baale scoring nine points. Head coach Matt Haveman expressed his admiration for both teams, noting the challenging environment and praising his players for their determination. "It was an incredible atmosphere on a snowy Thursday night in December," Haveman remarked.

Fruitport's Resilient Effort

Despite the loss, Fruitport put up a commendable fight. Trevor Rusnak led the Trojans with 14 points, Grade Anspach added 13 points, Dexter Lillmars scored 12 points, and DayDay Williams contributed 10 points.
