Keeton Tennison's path to becoming a sports performance expert was paved by his own experiences as a young athlete. "I was one of those kids," he recalls, "I wasn't the guy who God blessed with unbelievable athletic ability and talent. I had to work for every inch of athleticism." This personal struggle has fueled Tennison's mission to provide the same opportunities that helped him unlock his own potential to the next generation of athletes.

Bringing Sports Performance Training to Ruston

Recognizing the need for comprehensive sports performance training in Ruston, Tennison and his wife, Lexie, made the decision to relocate from northern Arkansas to this thriving sports community. "The people that make up this community are the magnet that pulled us back here," Tennison explains. "I knew this was a sports town. I knew this was a place looking for more opportunities for the kid that wasn't blessed with God-given natural ability."

Integrating D-Bat Ruston and Ten-10 Training

Tennison's vision for sports performance training in Ruston took a significant step forward with the acquisition of D-Bat Ruston, a facility that complements the offerings of his existing Ten-10 Training center. "There was a gap in what Ten-10 Training could offer," he acknowledges. "D-Bat has the setup to be able to host some of the high-end analytic machines that baseball and softball players need. It was integrating the facility and what it could offer and the passion for sports performance and athletic development and bringing it under one facility."

Cutting-Edge Technology and Innovative Opportunities

D-Bat Ruston boasts an impressive array of state-of-the-art technology and training resources, including the HitTrax system, a golf simulator-like technology that provides real-time analytics on a player's hitting performance. "As soon as ball is hit, it provides analytics such as ball flight, launch angle, exit velocity, rotational acceleration," Tennison explains. "All the metrics needed to measure where hitter is at, and the pathway needed to become a great hitter."Beyond the HitTrax system, D-Bat Ruston also offers specialized training programs for pitchers and power hitters, blending resistance training with the development of essential skills. Additionally, the facility will soon introduce indoor t-ball leagues for young athletes aged 4 to 7, further expanding the opportunities for sports development in the Ruston community.

Tennison is particularly excited about the innovative league format that D-Bat Ruston will offer, leveraging the HitTrax technology to create a unique competitive experience. "With HitTrax you can play leagues against teams from all over as long as they have the same system," he explains. "It's amazing. We can be here in Ruston, and we can play a team say from Canada. We get a three to four-person roster. We hit and the fielders never make a mistake. There are never errors. It's 100 percent that you must hit the ball in a gap or over the fence to get points. It is reps."This engaging format not only provides valuable practice for the athletes but also fosters a sense of competition and camaraderie, as teams from across the country can compete against one another in real-time.
