This outcome leaves the Rebels with a record of 7-10 overall and 1-4 in Mountain West Conference play, while the Lobos improved to 12-7 and 3-1. In the doubles segment, UNM secured victories in the first two completed matches, giving them an early lead. Their duo of Aram Noroozian and Georgio Samaha triumphed over Thomas Navarro and Ilia Snitari from UNLV with a score of 6-1. Additionally, Daniil Kakhniuk and Nicolas Recoura of New Mexico defeated Roberto Hernandez and Illia Maksymchuk from UNLV with a convincing 6-2. Moving into singles competition, Avery Tallakson of New Mexico delivered a strong performance by defeating Roberto Hernandez from UNLV in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
