Unveiling the Future Legends of the Track

Sibling Sensations and Promising Prodigies

This post-Breeders' Cup weekend, several siblings of Grade 1 winners are set to make their highly anticipated debuts, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the future of the sport. Among them is Oh Monaco, a $650,000 purchase by Resolute Racing's John Stewart at the Keeneland September 2023 sale. A full brother to 2021 Florida Derby winner Known Agenda, Oh Monaco will be saddled by trainer Kenny McPeek and ridden by Brian Hernandez Jr., the jockey duo who triumphed in this year's Kentucky Derby and Oaks.Joining the sibling sensation is Game Chaser, a 2-year-old filly by first-year sire Game Winner. Hailing from the barn of trainer Linda Rice, Game Chaser's dam is Shehadmefromhello, an Empire Maker mare who produced Grade 1 Test winner Separationofpowers. A homebred for Summer Wind Farm, Game Chaser will be piloted by Jose Lezcano as she makes her debut at Aqueduct.

Pedigree Powerhouses and Promising Pedigrees

The post-Breeders' Cup weekend also features the debut of Tux, a 2-year-old colt sired by the legendary Tapit out of the Grade 3-winning mare Fancy Dress Party. Owned and bred by LNJ Foxwoods, Tux will be conditioned by Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott and ridden by jockey Junior Alvarado as he takes on 6 1/2 furlongs at Aqueduct.Another intriguing prospect is Somnium, a half-sister to Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Caravel. Somnium, a daughter of Street Boss out of the Congrats mare Zeezee Zoomzoom, is an also-eligible in a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight on the turf at Laurel Park. In her most recent start on October 26th, Somnium showcased her impressive late-running ability, narrowly missing the win. Trained and owned by Elizabeth Merryman, Somnium is poised to build on her promising debut performance.

A Diverse Lineup of Promising Prospects

The Prospect Watch list extends beyond the aforementioned standouts, featuring a diverse array of young talents set to make their mark on the racing world. From the Curlin-sired Peak Performer, whose dam is the Grade 2 winner Fly So High, to the Speightstown-sired Salamis, whose dam is the Grade 1 winner Antonoe, the upcoming entries promise to captivate racing enthusiasts with their pedigree and potential.Additionally, the list includes the Street Sense-sired Lebowski, out of the mare Becky's Best, as well as the Not This Time-sired duo of My Sherrona and Not the First Time, whose dams boast graded stakes credentials.
