Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm made a bold statement by acquiring the Grade 2 winner Roses for Debra for a staggering $2.4 million, making her the session's top-priced horse. The 5-year-old daughter of Liam's Map was consigned by Candy Meadows Sales and cataloged as a racing or broodmare prospect. With her impressive pedigree, including a half-sister to stakes winners Rose's Vision and Rosie's Alibi, Roses for Debra caught the eye of Pope, who was seeking mares with speed to complement the stallions she plans to breed to, such as Charge It and Tapit Trice.

Weanlings Steal the Spotlight

The Keeneland November sale also saw the emergence of two standout weanlings, with a colt by Into Mischief and a colt by Curlin selling for $900,000 and $725,000, respectively. These prices represent the highest-priced weanlings sold at public auction in North America this year, underscoring the strong demand for top-quality young prospects.
