The World Boxing Council has officially recognized and celebrated the boxers who have earned their place in the February 2025 rankings. This esteemed list, which has been published monthly since 1968, highlights the top 40 contenders across all weight divisions. A global panel of experts meticulously evaluates fight outcomes and critical data to ensure a comprehensive and accurate assessment of each boxer's performance. The council welcomes these new entrants, wishing them continued success in their future bouts.

A Global Panel Ensures Rigorous Evaluation

The process of ranking boxers is both rigorous and meticulous. An international committee composed of boxing experts from various countries reviews each fighter's achievements in detail. By analyzing fight results and other significant information, the committee determines the precise placement of boxers on the WBC lists. This ensures that only the most deserving athletes are included in the prestigious rankings.

This month, several fighters have made their debut in the rankings. Heavyweight contenders Umut Camkiran from Turkey and Kingsley Ubeh from the United States have entered at positions 30 and 37 respectively. In the cruiserweight category, Aloyis Youmbi from Great Britain has secured position 34. The light heavyweight division sees Benjamin Gavazzi from Germany and Michael Alan Flannery from Great Britain/Thailand making notable entries. Misael Rodriguez from Mexico joins the super middleweight category at position 30, while Bruno Surace from France debuts at position 14 in the middleweight class.

New Entrants Span Various Weight Classes

The latest additions to the WBC rankings span a wide range of weight classes, showcasing the diversity and global reach of professional boxing. Boxers from numerous countries have earned their spots, reflecting the sport's international appeal. Each fighter's inclusion is a testament to their skill, dedication, and competitive spirit.

In the lighter weight categories, Conah Walker from Great Britain and Avious Griffin from the United States have joined the welterweight ranks at positions 22 and 30. Super lightweight contenders Aram Faniian from Ukraine and Patricio Carrion from Chile have also made the list. Lightweight boxers such as Yongqiang Yang from China and Fradimil Macayo from Venezuela have earned their places. Super featherweight fighters Zhigang Zhang from China and Angelo Peña from Switzerland have debuted, along with Crist Esabe from France in the featherweight division. The bantamweight category welcomes Noel Reyes from the Dominican Republic and Jose Amaro from Mexico, while flyweight contenders Jukiya Iimura from Japan and Vencent Lacar from the Philippines have also made the cut. Finally, in the strawweight division, Mthokozisi Ngxaka from South Africa and Kevin Lopez from Mexico have joined the ranks.
