2025-02-08

In a recent event that captured the attention of rodeo enthusiasts, seven-year-old Lincoln Gibbs, affectionately known as “Hot Rod,” stole the spotlight during the 30th annual Professional Cowboy Association Rodeo Finals in Biloxi. The first-grader from Holly Pond has been entertaining crowds at various sanctioned events across multiple states. His father, Adam Gibbs, revealed that this was the second consecutive year Lincoln performed at the prestigious finals. Known for his humorous antics and engaging presence, Lincoln has become a beloved figure in the rodeo circuit, delighting audiences with his unique performances.

Lincoln's journey into the world of rodeo began early, as he grew up traveling extensively with his father, who has been announcing rodeos professionally since 2013. Together, they visited numerous locations, from Miami to the Canadian border, performing at approximately 100 events annually. Despite this demanding schedule, Lincoln's education remained a priority, leading to a more balanced lifestyle once he started kindergarten in the fall of 2023. Now, the young entertainer enjoys a mix of school life and occasional rodeo appearances, especially during the summer months.

Beyond his rodeo performances, Lincoln has developed a passion for other activities. He excels academically, earning straight A’s, and participates actively in sports, averaging six points per game on his first-grade basketball team. When not on stage, he enjoys telling jokes, signing autographs, and spending time with friends. His favorite jokes include the "Snowman" and "Call the cops" stories, which always bring laughter to those around him.

Reflecting on his son's achievements, Adam emphasizes the importance of Lincoln's happiness. While the rodeo has been a significant part of their lives, Adam ensures that Lincoln has the freedom to choose his path. Whether he decides to continue performing or pursue other interests, what matters most is that Lincoln remains joyful and fulfilled. This balance between professional commitments and personal growth underscores the family's commitment to nurturing Lincoln's well-rounded development.
