2025-03-22

A remarkable celebration unfolded recently as the Warren Central Junior High School football team gathered to commemorate their undefeated 2024 season. The event, held within the school premises, was an occasion of pride and joy for the young athletes who emerged victorious in the Little 6 Championship. Head Coach Louis Green initiated the ceremony with heartfelt remarks, reflecting on the journey and achievements of his players. The assistant coaching staff, including Charles Swartz, Victor Tyrone, Gage Quimby, and Eric Lawson, also shared cherished moments from the memorable season, enriching the evening with tales of dedication and teamwork.

As the festivities continued, attendees enjoyed a delightful meal prepared by caterers while Principal Nicholas Dotson and Athletic Director James Lewis addressed the gathering. Their speeches underscored the significance of the players' accomplishments and acknowledged the unwavering support of their families. Toward the conclusion of the night, the athletes were honored with letterman's jackets and hoodies before receiving their championship rings—a symbol of their hard-earned success. This triumphant season culminated in a decisive 26-7 victory over Brandon, leaving an indelible mark on the school's sports history.

The future looks bright for these young talents as they prepare to transition into the ninth-grade football program, set to commence practice in April. Notably, Coach Louis Green received recognition once again as VDN’s Junior High Head Coach of the Year, while quarterback Cam Zellous earned a prestigious invitation to participate in the Magnolia Sports Association Future Elit3 Eighth Grade All-Star Game. Such accolades highlight not only individual excellence but also the collective spirit that defines this exceptional team. Through perseverance and commitment, these students exemplify what it means to strive for greatness both on and off the field.
