UCF Knights Shift Focus to Transfer Portal and Early Signings
UCF's 2024 recruiting class reflects significant changes under new head coach Scott Frost. With a focus on the transfer portal, UCF has secured over two dozen transfers, many with multi-year eligibility. Before Frost’s arrival, UCF had already signed 11 high school and JUCO athletes. The traditional National Signing Day in February is expected to be quiet, as most top recruits now enroll early. Notable additions include consensus blue-chip prospects like running back Taevion Swint and defensive back Tony Williams. Key positions were addressed, including offensive tackle Laparka Langston from JUCO and defensive tackle RyShawn Perry. However, UCF may miss out on four-star offensive tackle Chastan Brown, who decommitted after Gus Malzahn’s departure. This class showcases Frost’s ability to quickly rebuild through strategic signings.
