Working towards a possible start on opening day this month at Santa Anita, Grade 1 winner Stronghold drilled Sunday morning for trainer Phil D’Amato. The 3-year-old Ghostzapper colt bred and owned by Eric and Sharon Waller was timed going five furlongs in 59.2 seconds on the fast main track. This colt has not raced since September 21 when he finished second in the Pennsylvania Derby. His only victory on that track was in the Santa Anita Derby on April 6.
