Coach's Perspective
Coach Camper emphasizes that the team's focus this season is on continuous improvement. The spring schedule provides ample opportunities for the team to grow throughout the year and be at their best when conference play begins. He is excited about the hard-working group of women and looks forward to witnessing their growth.The season kicks off on Sunday, January 19 at UNC Asheville, followed by the highly anticipated home opener against Lee on January 20. The SoCon slate begins on the road at Mercer on March 16, with the home conference opener set for March 28 against UNCG. The full schedule offers a diverse range of opponents and locations, ensuring a challenging and exciting season.
January Matches
The team kicks off the new year with a match at UNC Asheville on Sunday, January 19 at 3 PM. This is followed by the home opener against Lee University on Monday, January 20 at 2 PM. The following weekend, they travel to Murfreesboro, Tennessee for a neutral-site match against Louisville on Saturday, January 25. On Sunday, January 26, they face MTSU in another away match.
The month of February sees the team continuing their journey with matches against various opponents. On Friday, February 14, they take on Alabama A&M at home. On Sunday, February 16, they host Presbyterian. The month concludes with matches against Tennessee St. on Saturday, March 1 and at Georgia St. on Sunday, March 2.
March Matches
In March, the team faces a series of challenging matches. They start with a trip to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to take on So. Miss. on Friday, January 31. On Saturday, February 1, they play against N'western St. in Hattiesburg. The following week, they host EKU on Saturday, February 8. On Friday, February 14, they play TN Wesleyan at home.
The SoCon slate begins on the road at Mercer on March 16. The home conference opener is set for March 28 against UNCG. They then travel to Cullowhee, North Carolina to face W. Carolina on Sunday, March 30. The month concludes with matches against ETSU on Saturday, April 5 and Furman on Sunday, April 6.
April Matches
April brings the highly anticipated SoCon Tournaments to Chattanooga. The event will take place from April 16-19 at Champions Club at Rivermont Park. This is a crucial time for the team as they strive to perform at their best and compete for the championship.
