The transfer portal has opened its doors, and the college football landscape is in a state of flux. Notable Programs and Their Early Commits

Cincinnati

In Scott Satterfield's second season, Cincinnati saw an improvement from 3-9 to 5-7. They have commitments from two former all-conference selections, including Taran Tyo from Ball State and Matthew McDoom from Coastal Carolina. Caleb Goodie, a former Colorado State receiver, is also part of the class.

Houston

Houston has added several former starters, such as Harvey Broussard from Louisiana, Amare Thomas from UAB, McKenzie Agnello from New Mexico, Matthew Wykoff from Cal and Texas A&M, and Jason Brooks from Oklahoma State.

Louisville

Jeff Brohm has been successful in the transfer portal, landing commitments from players who started at least six games in 2024. Minnesota

Coach P.J. Fleck had a busy weekend, landing seven of the team's FBS-leading nine transfer commitments. Javon Tracy from Miami (Ohio), a first-team All-MAC selection, was the headliner, along with A.J. Turner from Marshall.

TCU

After a disappointing 3-9 season, the Cowboys have lost 12 players to the portal but have responded by picking up five commitments. These include Bryan McCoy from Akron, Kasen Carpenter from Tulsa, Jordan Owens from Central Arkansas, and Lavaka Taukeiaho from Weber State.

Ole Miss

Lane Kiffin's Rebels are at it again in the transfer portal. They have commitments from three former Arkansas Razorbacks with 36 combined career starts, as well as blue-chip edge rushers Da’Shawn Womack from LSU and Princewill Umanmielen from Nebraska. They have also hosted several other key targets.

Lee Hunter from UCF, a Class of 2021 top-100 recruit, started 23 games for the Knights and is reportedly visiting Texas and Texas Tech. Jamaal Jarrett from Georgia, a 6-5, 350-pound former top-200 recruit, played only 126 snaps in two seasons and has three years of eligibility left. Malachi Nelson from Boise State, a former five-star quarterback and USC signee, is looking for his third home. Walker White from Auburn, a 6-3, 220-pound Arkansas native and a top-10 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting cycle, has four seasons of eligibility remaining. Justice Haynes from Alabama, a former five-star recruit, started the first six games of the 2024 season and is likely to visit Ole Miss and South Carolina. Sage Ryan from LSU, a 2021 five-star recruit, started 21 games and has one year of eligibility left.
