Two talented individuals from the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders have been honored on the 2025 Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team in Conference USA. Graduate student Alessia Truden made her mark as the first Blue Raider to receive this recognition. Demonstrating excellence both academically and athletically, Truden boasts an impeccable academic record with a perfect GPA of 4.0. On the court, she consistently performs at the highest level, playing singles at the top position and doubles alongside Rutuja Chaphalkar.
Rutuja Chaphalkar also earned a place on the prestigious All-Academic Team. With a near-perfect GPA of 3.961, Chaphalkar has contributed significantly to the team's success. This season, the duo of Truden and Chaphalkar achieved national recognition in doubles play. In singles matches, Chaphalkar provides reliable performances on courts five and six. As the regular season concludes, the Blue Raiders will face off against Sam Houston and Rice before advancing to the CUSA Championship in Lynchburg, Virginia.
