Former GM & Ex-Agent Join Giants as Special Advisers

Former general manager Bobby Evans and ex-agent Jeff Berry have joined the San Francisco Giants as special advisers under the new president of baseball operations, Buster Posey. Evans joined the Giants in 1994 as an administrative assistant and later became the general manager in April 2015. However, he was fired in September 2018 due to the Giants' second straight losing record. Berry spent an impressive 26 years at the Creative Artists Agency and was the co-head of CAA Baseball when he left in June. He had the privilege of representing Posey during his time at the agency. Pike Goldschmidt was hired as the director of baseball strategy and spent the past eight seasons with Oakland, where he has been the director of baseball development since January 2023.
