A remarkable week on the tennis court has earned Sihoo Kim, a freshman men’s tennis player from South Korea, the prestigious title of Centennial Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for April 7-13. This recognition marks Kim's first weekly award in the conference. Demonstrating exceptional skill and determination, Kim achieved an impressive record of 3-0 in singles matches and 2-1 in doubles last week. His standout performances against top-ranked opponents contributed significantly to his team's overall success.
Kim’s journey includes victories over formidable players such as Luke Brodsky, Harrison Maitland-Carter, and Dylan Blenkiron. Partnering with Tichi Chialva, he also excelled in doubles play, defeating some of the best teams in the region. Joining fellow teammate Aaradith Ravichandran, who previously won the award in February, Kim continues to make waves in the Shoremen Tennis program.

Even against Johns Hopkins’ fourth-ranked doubles team, Kim and Chialva pushed them to a tiebreak, highlighting their ability to compete at the highest level.
