Transfer and Sitting Out
Second baseman Michael "Mikey" Relle made the decision to transfer to Hannan as a sophomore. This meant he had to face the challenge of sitting out a season. But instead of being discouraged, he took it as an opportunity to work hard at practice. He knew that with determination and perseverance, he could make the most of his situation.During that year, Relle focused on improving his skills and getting in shape. Garrett recognized Relle's potential and worked with him tirelessly at practice. The young infielder responded by continuing to get better with each passing day. During the summer, Relle was playing for Wow Factor at a tournament in Houston. It was during this time that one of the Centenary coaches showed interest in him. This led to an invitation for a visit, and when Relle made his visit, he fell in love with the college.He knew immediately that Centenary was the place for him. The coaching staff, the facilities, and the overall atmosphere all appealed to him. Signing with the Division III Gents was a dream come true for Relle.Last Season's Achievements
Last season, Relle was named an All-District 8-4A first-team selection. He hit an impressive.306 with 11 doubles and 14 RBIs. These statistics are a testament to his talent and hard work.Relle's success is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride for his team and school.
