In this inaugural ranking, several teams have already established themselves as formidable contenders. Goodrich, despite a couple of losses, remains at the top with impressive wins over Grand Blanc and Ortonville Brandon. Powers Catholic, though facing tough competition, has shown resilience with narrow losses against strong opponents. Goodrich's journey has been marked by both triumphs and challenges. The team suffered a three-point loss to Wayne Memorial during the holiday stretch but quickly rebounded with decisive wins over Grand Blanc and Ortonville Brandon. Looking ahead, they face winless teams like Lake Fenton and Swartz Creek, which should provide opportunities to solidify their standing. Meanwhile, Powers Catholic has faced a tougher road, losing three out of four recent games by slim margins. These close encounters include losses to Frankenmuth, Pewamo-Westphalia, and Mount Pleasant. Despite these setbacks, the team remains resilient, preparing for matches against Midland Dow and Lansing Waverly. Hamady, on the other hand, has been unstoppable, winning six consecutive games, including a dominant 78-26 victory over Flint Elite. They now prepare for Arbor Prep and Burton Bentley, aiming to extend their winning streak. New Lothrop has also made a strong impression, taking sole possession of first place in the Mid-Michigan Activities Conference after defeating Otisville LakeVille 53-24. Up next are Montrose and Byron, who will test the team’s mettle.
