These early season trips will test the Redbirds' mettle as they face tough opponents on the road. It's a great opportunity for the team to gain valuable experience and build chemistry before returning home.
The journey continues as they play their second midweek of the season at Oral Roberts on Mar. 5 and travel to Stillwater for a three-game series against Oklahoma State from Mar. 7-9. This will be the first time ISU faces Oral Roberts since 2002 and Oklahoma State since 2021, adding an extra element of excitement to the games.
Following a home midweek against SIUE on Mar. 18, Missouri Valley Conference play begins for the Redbirds with a trip to Belmont from Mar. 21-23. The month of March closes for ISU with four straight at home as Iowa comes to Duffy Bass Field on Mar. 25 and Murray State follows from Mar. 28-30.
April begins with four straight on the road for ISU as they travel to Illinois on Apr. 1, then to Valparaiso, Indiana, for a road MVC series against the Beacons from Apr. 4-6. Back at Duffy Bass Field, Illinois State hosts Illinois on Apr. 8 and Evansville from Apr. 11-13.
The final month of the regular season, May, begins with a home series against Missouri State from May 2-4. After traveling to Northern Illinois on May 6, the Redbirds conclude the home portion of the schedule with the final home series against UIC from May 9-11 before Eastern Illinois comes to Normal on May 13. The Redbirds close out the 2025 regular season by traveling to Indiana State in the final MVC series from May 15-17.
The MVC Tournament returns to Duffy Bass Field in Normal, Ill., from May 20-24, where the league's top eight teams will compete for the conference championship and an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament. Host Illinois State is not guaranteed a spot in the field, adding an extra level of pressure and excitement.
