Unfortunately, much of his time there was overshadowed by recovery from a hamstring injury that required surgery. During his active period with the Wildcats, he contributed significantly despite limited playing time.

In his final collegiate chapter, Fredrick joined Cincinnati. Although injuries continued to plague him, affecting areas such as his ribs, ankle, feet, and back, he remained committed to the sport.
