Transforming Basketball Leadership at Louisiana

Evaluation and Decision-making

After a comprehensive evaluation of the men's basketball program, it became evident that a change was required. These decisions are never taken lightly, and this one was no exception. Dr. Maggard expressed his gratitude for the leadership Bob Marlin has offered over the past several years. The team and its fans wish Marlin and his family all the best as they move forward.

Assistant coach Derrick Zimmerman will now take on the role of the Ragin’ Cajuns interim head coach for the rest of the 2024-25 season. A national search is set to commence in order to identify a new permanent head coach.
