The University of Missouri tennis team recently wrapped up the first day of competition at the TCU Jae Foundation Fall Open in Fort Worth, Texas. The Tigers faced off against tough opponents from TCU and Texas Tech, showcasing their resilience and determination on the court.

The day began with singles action, as the Tigers took on the Horned Frogs of TCU. Graduate student Lailaa Bashir engaged in a hard-fought battle against Helena Narmont, pushing the match to a decisive third set. Despite Bashir's valiant efforts, she was ultimately unable to secure the victory, falling 6-4, 0-6, 10-8.Elsewhere in the singles competition, the Tigers faced a series of tough challenges. Senior Inah Canete took on TCU's Caballero, falling 6-2, 6-4, while freshman Korina Roso was defeated by Pascual 6-3, 6-2. Mizzou's Octa and Hartel also fell to their TCU opponents, Tsai and Main, respectively.Doubles Dominance: Canete and Roso Shine
As the day drew to a close, the Tigers turned their attention to the doubles matches, facing off against the Red Raiders of Texas Tech.
