John Butler, who is set to serve as the Huskers' defensive coordinator for the Pinstripe Bowl, is about to be promoted to a full-time role. Butler has been actively involved this season as the secondary coach and pass game coordinator. With over 20 years of coaching experience at various colleges like Harvard, South Carolina, and Penn State, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Nebraska program. Additionally, he has worked with the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans.

Associate Head Coach Hire: Phil Snow

Snow has a long and notable association with Matt Rhule. He has served as the defensive coordinator at Baylor for three seasons, joining Rhule after their time together at Temple. During his 36 years in college football, Snow has also coached at UCLA, Washington, Arizona State, and Boise State. He has also had stints in the NFL with the Detroit Lions. Snow's work at Temple earned him two Broyles Award nominations, and he has consistently built strong defenses wherever he has coached.

Defensive Line Coach: Terry Bradden

Terry Bradden has been with the Kansas City Chiefs for eight seasons, with four of those as the assistant defensive line coach. Before that, he held the position of defensive quality control coach from 2018 to 2020 and served as a defensive assistant for one season in 2017. Before joining the Chiefs, he was the quarterback graduate assistant at Bethune Cookman University. Bradden also has a background as a quarterback, playing for three seasons at Howard University before transferring to Tuskegee University to continue in that role. He is a former head high school coach in Florida and worked at FAU in 2014.
